Today we’re going to be covering word-of-mouth marketing in 2021.
No doubt, planning a marketing strategy to market your products may be difficult at times, so stick around to hear my three-top tips regarding the word of mouth and how you can incorporate that into your overall marketing strategy for 2021
So, let’s jump straight into the first statistic!
The first statistic is found from a big E-commerce study, it was conducted by them and uncovered that 74% of consumers word of mouth is a key influence in their purchasing decision, so what exactly does that mean for your business?
Yes, there are a lot of different forms of marketing out there from social media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Email, content, conversational, you name it there are a million and one different ways to market your products and services.
However, your consumers are your customers, your clients and, they still rely heavily on word of mouth. If you can incorporate word of mouth marketing with every other thing that you’re doing – that’s going to be the recipe for success!
One of the easiest and simplest ways to incorporate word of mouth is marketing your digital strategy, this is the use of reviews example, so if you’re getting other people leaving great feedback on your reviews your testimonials to help you create things like case studies if you’re in a B2B (business marketing) sort of industry.
For example: by getting other people talking in a positive light about your business, your products, and your services, you’re going to succeed far better, than you are talking about a great job that you’re doing, so that’s one of the ways to incorporate word of mouth into your overall marketing strategies for 2021.
According to a study conducted by invest CRO (a conversion rate optimization specialist company) found that 90% of people are more likely to buy when recommended by a friend, this shows the power of Word-of-Mouth Marketing and shows the power of getting other people to talk about your brand, so finding ways like I mentioned earlier to incorporate this strategy into your overarching marketing strategy is a great win!
One of those could be creating a specific or a strategic referral, overall, a marketing strategy for your business is great because if people are able to refer you in the B2B (Business Marketing) space referral, marketing is fantastic!
If you’re looking at the B2C (Business to Customer) space, you might want to investigate something such as influencer marketing such as implementing and combining word of mouth into your overall marketing strategy, this will be a recipe for success especially in 2021.
Finally, the third statistic is by CIM (which is the Chartered Institute of Marketing), according to the study they found that 66% of consumers believe that customer reviews are the number one priority, which goes back to the first point I touched on earlier. That if you have a sustainable strategy for your marketing activities, which will incorporate other people to talk about how much of a great job you’re doing, that’s going to help you succeed.
