The Business
Woodpeckers Pet Store is a pet retail business that also provides pet supplies such as toys, pet food, treats, medication, grooming tools, accessories and much more.
From Aquatic creatures to domestic birds, cats, to dogs, they are experts in pet care and provide knowledge on the best nutrition for your pets, with regards to their individual needs.
This Manchester-based business has over 7 years of pet retail experience and place great value on providing the best customer service. They are also able to deliver your goods directly to your home.
Prior to meeting with the team at SOS Creativity, Woodpeckers Pet Store did not have a website. They, therefore, required a website that was simple to use and convenient for customers to buy products. They discussed their needs and expectations with SOS Creativity, and a solution was created.
SOS Creativity designed and developed a brand-new website for them to suit the needs of their customers. We also integrated a user-friendly, highly converting e-commerce functionality which enables customers to purchase from the website.
This new website has also been adapted to meet the requirements of the current ‘new normal’ by complying with the new safety guidelines for purchasing pets and pet goods during the COVID-19 climate.
Woodpeckers Pet Store’s newly developed online presence will ensure that a wider demographic can now have access to them and their services. Also, existing customers can still visit their favourite pet store online and still have a friendly and familiar experience.
The Process - SOS Creativity
Design - The first step in the process was to design the website using Adobe XD. This process is where we brought Woodpeckers Pet Store's ideas to life.
Review - Once the design was completed, we then arrange a meeting with Woodpeckers Pet Store to review and gather feedback on the design.
Develop - With the client happy and ready to proceed with the designs, our next step was to then develop the functional website.
Testing - Once the development was completed, the next step in the process was to test the website. During this phase, we conduct a series of tests such as stress test, usability test and responsive test.
Sign off- With the tests passed, the next stage was to review the functioning website with Woodpeckers Pet Store and sign off the project.
Launch- Once Woodpeckers Pet Store were happy to sign off on the website, the final step was to launch the website, complete an extensive post launch checklist and tell the whole world about it.
