Social Selling Index (SSI) is a measure of a person’s social selling capabilities. Having a sense of your SSI score allows you to become better marketers and salespeople as it tells you what areas you’re great at and the areas that requires improvement. The better your SSI score, the better you are at social selling.
LinkedIn offers its own Social Selling Index so that profiles can see how successful they are at selling themselves and their business. The LinkedIn SSI score measures your performance in four key areas, also known as LinkedIn SSI pillars. They are:
Create a professional brand
Find the right people
Engage with insights
Build strong relationships
LinkedIn claims the higher the score, the more successful that person is at reaching their sales goals.
To connect with the right people, you need to define your target audience. Once you have this profile, you can actively search for these people on LinkedIn. A new connection could be a new client.
Engage engage engage.
Social media is meant to be social. By liking other people’s post and commenting on other people’s content providing your expert’s opinion, this will help increase your LinkedIn Social Selling Index Score.
